Tokyo Jewelry Fes 2024 Report

Hi there. So it's been more than two weeks since my first Japanese pop-up event debut, but I had to cover what happened during the event.

First off, it was a success! And I cannot thank enough for everyone and every person who supported me thru the event. And there's someone I have to thank the most; My partner who has been supportive from the day 1 watched our kids in Osaka while  I was working my as* off in Tokyo. I could not possibly have done this without his support. Thank you.

I don't know how long it has been since my last in-person sales event, but this was the first ever formal setting of my Pigeon Dynamite jewelry; I had the showcase, backdrop, poster, and the venue. Oh my god, I have to talk about the venue. Tokyo Big Sight.

They aren't kidding when they say "BIG."

I got in a day before the event to load the backdrop decorations and set up the showcase.

I took my medium sized suitcase and a large backpack. I was more excited than nervous to participate such a large jewelry event by myself. More than anything I think I was just so happy to meet customers and be free from household duties and take a break from mom duties.

I cannot lie being a mom is hard. As rewarding as it is, it is a challenge for me at least. So those three days of work-only concentrated time felt like I got back to myself for the first time after becoming a mom.

The event was overall amazing. I got to meet so many people and friends. The first day, I got to glance at Naomi Watanabe, who lives in NYC. The second day went so crazy fast. It was Saturday, and from the opening to pretty much till the closing time, we were constantly helping the customers to find the special piece. It was my last day (the event went on one more day) so I wish I had more time to meet more people.

I hope I can do more event in near future. Maybe more local next time, like Osaka and Kyoto area too.

And when that happens, I will make sure to announce the news in advance on my Instagram and here on my website!

Thanks for reading!
